Overview

Hive Mind is committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use any Hive Mind product.

Our Products

Analytics

We use PostHog for product analytics on the Explorer and this website. PostHog collects:

  • Page views and navigation patterns
  • Feature usage events (e.g. button clicks, staking actions)
  • Technical metadata (browser type, screen size, country)
  • Error and exception data for debugging
  • Session recordings on the Explorer: a replay of how the page was used, with text typed into forms masked

When you connect a wallet on the Explorer, we link its analytics to your wallet address, which is already public on the blockchain. Disconnecting starts a new anonymous identifier.

PostHog data is used solely to improve our products. We do not use it for advertising or share it with ad networks.

The browser extension does not use PostHog or any third-party analytics SDK. It reports only anonymous, aggregate counts to our own Hive Mind API — including a small set of default-on onboarding-funnel step counts (deduplicated per install, no personal data or browsing history) so we can see where new users get stuck during setup. Reach counts (first-party). The Explorer and the extension count how often a claim is shown to readers and how often a profile is viewed. These counts live in our own API, not in PostHog, as one number per claim (or profile) per day. To estimate how many different readers saw something, we add a keyed one-way hash of an anonymous identifier (a daily-rotating hash of the extension's random install ID, or on the Explorer your IP address) to a statistical sketch that cannot be read back into the identifiers that went into it. We never store the identifier itself, the page you were on, your wallet, or a time finer than the day. Curators see these numbers for their own claims and profile only; they are not shown publicly.

Data Sharing

We do NOT:

  • Sell your personal information
  • Share browsing history with third parties
  • Track you across websites for advertising
  • Store your private keys or seed phrases

We DO:

  • Submit transactions to the blockchain (publicly visible)
  • Store metadata on IPFS (publicly accessible)
  • Query the Intuition network for relevant data
  • Use AI services for summaries and question answering
  • Collect product analytics via PostHog
  • Count claim and profile views in our own API (anonymous, aggregate, first-party)

Security

  • All blockchain interactions require your explicit approval
  • Private keys are never stored or transmitted
  • We use secure connections for all API calls
  • Sensitive operations require cryptographic signatures

Your Rights

You can:

  • Disable or uninstall any Hive Mind product at any time
  • Clear local storage data
  • Disconnect your wallet
  • Opt out of analytics data collection
  • Request information about data we hold

Hive Mind products interact with:

  • Intuition Protocol smart contracts
  • Ethereum-compatible blockchain networks
  • IPFS and Pinata for decentralized storage
  • Web3 wallet providers (MetaMask, WalletConnect, etc.)
  • Groq AI for language model generation (summaries, question answering)
  • OpenAI for text embeddings (content retrieval)
  • CoinGecko for token market data
  • PostHog for product analytics (Explorer and website)
  • Netlify for hosting and serverless functions
  • Resend for transactional email

Children's Privacy

Hive Mind products are not intended for users under 18 years of age.
